We have taken so many different paths to bring my family to where it is today. And I believe, with all my heart, that there is no greater example of love than the picture of ME & MY 3.
That's a good viking you have there. :-)My husband and I were invited to celebrate Christmas eve at his parents house, but then I heard 2 days ago that they were serving Mac & Cheese for dinner, and knowing that we will be eating it sitting/standing around the living room off paper plates with plastic forks while the TV is on (because that's what it was like last year for Christmas and Thanksgiving) .. Well then I decided not to come, but instead stay at home and cook a real dinner. Luckily my husband was understanding and went to buy me a duck (which was hard to find here in Seattle), so now my Christmas is saved. :-D
We're having duck with prunes and red cabbage. Right now we're eating the rice porridge and saft - we did make extra for the nisse.
KelliI am loving your posts about the 12 days of Christmas. I am going to be a bit of a party pooper however and say that the 1st day of Christmas is Dec. 25 and the 12th day of Christmas is Jan 6. 12/25- 1/6 is the Christmas season in the church year. That is where the song comes from. It was set centuries ago. Doesn't make your posts any less memorable and lovely though.
I love that you go to a butcher to get a turkey!! Hope it was a success!! Have a wonderful holiday my friend!!
Was it a delicious turkey? Any different from a U.S. turkey?
