Future of America?

Please say NO...

I wanted to post something about this as soon as it came out last week.....but I refrained.
However last week I was only READING it in print, but now that I have heard the real live thing, I just cannot refrain any longer.  It is not just her BLUNDER that gets me, but listen to her answer to the question just before the blunder.....

Here is my translation of what she actually said:
"I have no idea how to answer your question because I honestly do not have the knowledge to answer it so I am going to give you an answer that says something about that Korean conflict being the CURRENT White House's job to figure out."

And if she is elected, I am quite certain she will be the first to use the word "GOTTA" in an interview...

You know, I've spent some quality time on the Korean peninsula. And anyone who has any, however remote, chance at making decisions about our defense and military policy who treats the Korean conflict so cavalierly scares the shit out of me. Never mind the slip of the tongue, what catches me is "And to remind North Korea...well, we're not going to reward bad behavior, and we're not going to walk away." WTF does that mean? Does that mean a President Palin would consider reaction by using immediate force against North Korea? No, no, no. And with this pundit sabre rattling I've heard of "There needs to be a regime change in North Korea." I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind would want to go there. A potential for something in Korea kicking off scares me, Sarah Palin scares me, and the blood lusting conservative media scares me. Thank God someone with a level head on his shoulders is sitting in the Oval Office right now. No matter what his faults, at least President Obama does not give the impression he would shoot from the hip and ask questions later.

All I can say is that the woman is no more than a puppet for the Republican agenda, and not a good one at that. Not worth spending time or money on.

In Danish politics, I have little faith in the government in power now, but I have to give them, that most of them are more aware of the world situation outside of DK than Palin is of the situation outside of the US. How in the world are there not more Americans aware of this? I really need for some prudent Republicans to step up, and address the Palin issue. Surely there must be some Republicans out there with their wits intact. Or...?

I have the same opinion than you on Palin obviously. I don't understand how ignorant people like her could get to the White House. But on this subject, I think anyone who is in politics has to refrain themselves from talking about North Korea, because the subject is so highly sensitive, that a third World War could start. The North Korean leader could use any words from a US politician as an excuse to push the nuclear button. So I think it is kind of a world policy to not start any serious talk about North Korea if you don't have any legitimacy to do so. And in this case, the one thing the world doesn't need is Palin or anyone from outside the White House to start a fight with North Korea. It is good she kept her mouth closed about it. On another level, can you post more pictures of Emmit?? i love him.

I actually listened to the interview when I read about this on Facebook. You saw my lengthy post about her there.

I will reiterate what one of my friends said about her: she is aggressively stupid. And I fear she will be our next president.

You have to be a complete idiot not to know the difference between North and South Korea. She has proven as much.

I really hope for all our sakes that she is not elected. Ever.

While Sarah Palin & Mitt Romney fight it out over who will be the next GOP nominee - and that will be close - I must say that if were Japanese, I would freak out. The Japanese are actually more in danger from North Korea than the USA is.

Further, the Chinese, who own both the American debt and its supply chain due to their massive hold on outsourced American manufacturing, truly believe that Korea is their sphere of influence. Their opinion is what matters, and no President ultimately matters, truth be told.

While the USA theoretically has a defense treaty with South Korea that does say American nukes will fly, everyone knows that promise will never be kept. The future of Korea is unity under Chinese hegemony, a la Hong Kong or Tibet.
