Ikke forbundet nu.... Not forbidden any longer

For many years Red Bull Energy Drink has been forbidden for sale in Denmark, Norway, and France. I don't like Red Bull, but I could never understand why it was forbidden since 1 can has 80mg of caffeine, the same as 1 cup of coffee.

Danes who like Red Bull have driven to the German border many times to buy their Red Bull since they could not get it in Denmark, but now, as of November 2009, the ban is lifted! Red Bull is now for sale in Denmark! As Bob Dylan would say, "Times are a changin..."

I had no idea it was banned! And it only has the caffeine equivalent of one cup of joe? Life is weirder than fiction!

I never drank an energy drink until we had puppies this past summer and then out of sheer neccessity I had to have one to stay awake..we didn't find red bull but had some that were similar- weird taste to them but they worked!!! I didn't understand the ban either but I think you can get red bull here now also...

I think most Americans mix Red Bull with vodka! Maybe it was illegal because of all the other stuff-- ginseng, guarana... are those in there?

I have had more then one student drink too many red bulls or mix it with cough syrup. It makes them think they are having heart attack. Then we have to call the medics in and it creates a bit of drama at the school. I know that it is the same as coffee but it messes with me too much.
