Since I wrote about "rundstykker" yesterday, I thought it was important that I explain to my "non-Danish friends" om this particular kind of bread!

LOL)

Since I moved to Denmark I have become used to rundstykker (translated to "round pieces") for breakfast. In fact, I like the a lot! They are not heavy and they taste yummy with butter and cheese! (of course, Mads and the other Danes put lots of other things on theirs!) Every weekend Mads and Albert walk to the bakery and buy rundstykker for our breakfast. (and I am certain that the woman working at the bakery can understand Mads when he places his order for rundstykker! LOL)

Even though I really like rundstykker, sometimes I miss my TEXAS STYLE BUTTERMILK BISCUITS... so I make them...

However I am quite sure that my body will be much healthier if I eat more rundstykker instead of buttermilk biscuits!

If you decide to come and visit us in Herning, I promise to buy rundstykker for you so you can try them! In fact, my sister will try them when she gets to Denmark IN TWO WEEKS!!! So you can ask her about them!

Mmmmm.......I love rundstykker. I have given up wienerbrød cos they are too sugary and take rundstykker as my favourites as well.

I love rundstykker and tebirkis (can't remember how to spell that) I now substitute it with a poppyseed bagel. I still put cheese and jam on top of my rundstykke. Now I'm hungry.

Your buttermilk biscuits look delicious... and so does the rundstykker! Mac & I often talk of the different "correct" combinations for on top of the breads.... I think it's fascinating! :-)

Mmm.. the round breads look delicious! As do your buttermilk biscuits - which look like our British scones!

BTW, all TEDx events are in English, so if you ever felt the urge to come to an event, you'll be able to understand it!
