Et år siden... One year ago

One year ago as I sat in my new home in Denmark, my telephone rang two times.
The first call told me that "my dad´s 5 bypass operation was over and he was going to be just fine. The second call, less than an hour later, told me that my MoMo had gone to heaven.

Sometimes it is really difficult to live in another country, on another continent, but now, one year later, I have another perspective. Because I know that while I live in Denmark, a long way from my family, my MoMo is sitting up in heaven, looking out for each of us, and my dad is in Texas, taking care of my mom with a VERY healthy heart. It is important that we find the good.... always.

Kelli, you always seem to find the good, which is why you are doing so well in your new home! You always think so positively!

Amen to that sister... it really is hard being away from family both during the bad - and the good - times.

Today is a very special day for me - I celebrate 1 year of a new life for your dad....but a little sad thinking about MoMo - no more road trips with her to Louisiana.

It's true, there's always a shiny side to every coin. Doesn't seem like it sometimes, but it's there! You do have a great attitude. :D

You have been on such a tremendous journey since your move to Denmark! Without a doubt the good is always there...sometimes we just have to dig a little deeper! Thinking of you!

Yes it's remarkable Kelli. I wish I could be as positive as you. However, reading your blog always cheers me up. Good on you!

Hey girl, I completely understand that while we have to live our own lives and wherever that may be in the world- it's hard to be so far away from family especially when they go through trials and tribulations they need our support in, and when you wrote that your MoMo is watching over you now, I feel very much like that with my mom..it's still so new with my mom's passing so it's hard to write or think about her..but stay focused on your core family and do your best to let the rest of your family know you still love them and are there for them despite the distance.
Now, I suggest you get off the sofa that you've been laying on in your pyjamas (eating bon bons) and write a new post in your blog- it's been over 24 hours since the last posting!!!! ;-))
Have a great Sunday my dear...
