Danske mænd... Danish men

Jeg elsker min danske mand..... og jeg kan lide alle danske mænd som jeg har mødt...

I love my Danish husband.... and I like all of the Danish men I have met so far....

Men der er en lille ting som jeg ikke kan lide om danske mænd...Faktisk den første ting som Nettie og Lucy så da vi kørte fra Billund lufthavn til Herning var den eneste ting jeg kan ikke lide om danske mænd!

But there is one small thing that I do not like about Danish men... In fact, the first thing that Nettie and Lucy saw when we drove from the Billund airport to Herning was this very thing that I just do not like about Danish men!

Når de har brug for at tisse......stopper de på vej og "gør deres forregning"!! :o) Jeg har set SÅ MANGE MÆND på vej.....tisser! Mads griner lige på mig når jeg lægger mærke til det!

When they have to pee.....they stop on the side of the road and "do their business"!! :o) I have seen SO MANY MEN on the side of the road....peeing! Mads just laughs at me every time I point it out!

Faktisk er "tisser på vej" ikke kun for almindelige mænd.... Kongelig mænd gør det også! Kig!

In fact, peeing on the side of the road is not just for regular guys.... Royals do it too! Look!

Det er Prins Henrik (Dronning Marguerites mand)!
This is Prince Henrik (Queen Margaret´s husband)!

....så hver damer i Danmark ryster lige deres hoved.....
...as every woman in Denmark just shakes her head.....

Yes, but he's French and they're even worse.

Well, when you've got to go, you've got to go... No harm in that, I say...

Oh my! Guess that's the drawback to Friluftslivet, right?

Had to laugh! I, too, have seen way too many Danish slippery little snakes. Remember about our visit in March and I told you about my first encounter with it...the guy was a mere 2 meters off the road....and pointing at oncoming traffic...maybe the wind was blowing!

I KNOW!! And it's not like there aren't plenty of toilets and gas stations along the highway because I've NEVER had to pee in the trees and I have the world's smallest bladder!

Gah!

The article says that around 150 people stood and watched while Prince Henrik was peeing. When he finished they all chered and clapped. And they cheered even more when he shook hands with the host afterwards to say goodbye before he went on the helicopter. LOL

Hahahha....oh yes. Peter does this same thing....he of course doesn't do it in plain view of people, but he will sneak off to pee if he has to and there are no toilets around.

I read somewhere to the effect that "modesty was responsible for more ruined bladders that all the wine in the world."

lmfa - very funny post kelly.

Yes Colin, he is French, you took the words out of my mouth.

Kelly, one of the first things I noticed here was the men doing it everywhere. When I expressed surprise at this I received notice that a) in Denmark 'we are not ashamed of our bodies or answering the call of nature' and b) there is a 'law in Denmark' that people are allowed to pee in public if there is not a public toilet within so many meters and not get arrested for indecent exposure.

In my culture it is indecent exposure if people get their genitals out in public and it is plain bad manners to urinate in public places in full view, but that is the way it is done here.

i am not sure about the law thing, but I suspect it is true.

However, I see a lot of men peeing up walls (by supermarkets etc) and that cannot be covered by the law?

All in all I am fairly relaxed about it now, because it is so everyday, but I tutor my own kids to do the decent thing and pee in private, either behind a bush (not in full view) or behind closed doors.

All we need to do is retrain the masses through raising awareness of how...ug..rude it is and decency will prevail LOL!

Sounds just like the men in Texas. This should not come as a surprise to you - I guess you lived in the city too long. If you gotta go, you gotta go.

We spent many years trying to get our 3 daughters to pee on the side of the road while on various versions of our own Chevy Chase Family Vacation road trips. They invariably and hysterically refused.

Can you imagine how many times we had to pull off the road and into a gas station/rest stop bathroom over the course of a 2400-mile road trip with the bladders of three little girls and a mama in the car???

Squatting in the bushes would have been far more sanitary. It wasn't like I didn't carry two rolls of toilet paper in the car at all times!

Moondog is right.

Amazing!! Though some do it here, they kind of hide in the bushes a little bit.

Hi!
I´m the happy owner of this picture, and I must say that I am flattered by all the comments. It was really one of the funniest experiences in my life. Didn´t really expect it to happen right there in front of me.

btw. because this is just a private website, enjoy the picture, but not commercial use...

Best wishes
