Europa VENDER!! Europe WINS!

Efter 1 år af køretur omkring Danmark, jeg tager til Texas næste uge for mit første besøg.
Men jeg er lidt bekymret.....

After 1 year of driving around Denmark, next week I am going home to Texas for my first visit. But I am a little worried....

How can I drive without my yellow "get ready" light?! The best creation in Europe....before green, comes yellow which tells you... "GET READY, GET SET, GO!!" America has many great things...but Europe wins this time with its yellow light!

You are so funny! I bet you will do just fine... We don't even have traffic lights here... only round a bouts....

Liked Denmarks entry for Eurovision... kindda cowboy-ish weren't they?

That is interesting !! We have an amber, (yellow/orange:))! light in the same position on the light standard but it goes yellow a few seconds before turning red - so here it means ready set STOP!!

We try not to "run an amber light" but sometimes can't help it before it turns red.

Have a great trip Kelli.

I have to agree - the red-yellow start your engines is very cool. However, you must remember that in the US you can still turn right on red!!

Oh my goodness! You don't have yellow lights in the US? How on earth do you know when to get ready to go then?

I would guess the yellow before the green is to let you know to shift into first and possibly ease up on the clutch so you can TAKE OFF...

In the US, we have so few manual transmission cars, maybe the powers that be feel that the yellow before green isn't needed...

You shift into first as soon as you stop for red.

Maybe this is why Emma things that the yellow light means "get ready"...it is already embedded in her DNA! I had never thought about that before now.
