Flere kendskab som jeg cykler... More knowledge as I bike...

This morning I learned a few more things as I biked to work.

1. The cars ACTUALLY look out for cyclists and they always yield to us. It is fantastic to see when you are biking at 730am and there is so much traffic.

2. This morning the temperature was 43 and I never stopped to decide "will I bike or won't I"... In Texas I thought 43 was COLD but in Denmark, I think 43 is perfect! (Everything is relative!)

3. I wear jeans most days (which is totally the norm in Denmark..and I love it!). I have never thought about it before, but now I have decided, however, that jeans which are 100% cotton are not as great as jeans that are 99% cotton and 1% spandex when you bike to work! "A little stretch is good!"

So true. I am very happy with the way cyclists are respected here IF I am on a bike, but not so happy when my children accidentally stray into the path of a cyclist!

Do you ever see Americans biking like they do in Scandinavia? I think there are some things that are just European and some things that are American and these things will never take off in the opposite place..but for your sake I'm glad you've taken a liking to the Scandinvian healthy and green lifestyle- I'm telling ya, when the snow disappears I'm right behind you...huffing N' puffing on my bike...:-))

Spandex is good! I love your attitude about life - remember each day to count your blessings! Love you so much.

Love it! And a little stretch is always a good thing just in case you happen to eat a huge meal and then have to cycle home...

By the way, what has happened to your blogroll? It's disappeared, so now I can't see who has posted what...

At 60 degrees you'll find yourself laying out in the sun! It's amazing how quickly the human body adjusts to its surroundings.
