D.A.D. Koncert / Concert

On Saturday night I was 1 of about 5000 in the Herning Messecenter---and everyone was there for only one reason--to hear one of Denmark´s most famous music groups, D.A.D. or "Disney After Dark". 2009 is their 25th year as a group and since they sang the words to every song, I am quite certain that all the other 4999 people there that night have been fans the entire 25 years! And now I understand why! THEY WERE ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD (Sort of a Def Leppard meets Foreigner meets Ac/DC)! (and even though they spoke in Danish, they sang in English!)

Denne mand ligner han fik en sweatshirt for "fars dag" at sige "du er verdens bedste D.A.D." i stedet for "Jeg en fedt fan af D.A.D"!! (Selvfølgelig mit kamera var klar!!)

This man looks like he got a sweatshirt for Fathers Day that says "You are the world´s best D.A.D" instead of "I am a cool fan of D.A.D."!!! (and of course, my camera was ready!!)

D.A.D.´s lead singer and YES, he has a song called "I won´t cut my hair!"

Jeg was so excited to finally be a part of the group because Mads has been to so many concerts wtih Allan and Marianne (from Luxembourg) and Kenneth and Christina (friends who were our witnesses at our wedding)--so the group now has a new face--me!

I have learned this is a normal thing
when Mads and Allan are at a concert!

Her er D.A.Ds bassist men fra andre billeder, må du synes at Allan spiller guitar i lørdags!

Here is D.A.D.´s bassist, but from these next pictures, you might think that Allan is the one playing guitar that night!

På Kenneth, på me...

On Kenneth, on me...

på Christina og selvfølgelig på Mads!
On Christina, and of course on Mads!

I think I will definitely listen to them more in the future--Listen and see if you agree with me! This is their signature song--And then you can read
HERE to find out why they had to change their name from Disneyland after Dark!

I am not SO keen on that particular track, but they are hot to look at anyway, LOL.

I LOVE these pics of the concert, showing the Danes at their fun loving best. Laughing very much at the many air guitar pics.

Thanks for sharing :)

How appropriate, first you go to Disneyland in France and then you go to Disneyland After Dark.

Listened to the music and tried to "hear" if there was a Danish accent in the crowd's English. Couldn't hear. Do you go to many concerts? I'll have to tell my Danish friend, Lilian, that I know the group. Thanks.

I've never been much of a concert goer..I think I saw New Kids On The Block at Six Flags in Arlington- but that was only because I worked there..hahahaha..otherwise I think I saw Dottie West and oh one other old country artist at the Kansas state fair when I was a kid..otherwise no concerts for me- but looks like you had a great time and the point is to do something social with friends and feel a part of a group and that looks like you did successfully!!!

Have a great weekend my friend- the Captain comes home tonight and we will have a relaxing weekend before a busy week ahead- Jenny comes next weekend!!!
