De ankommer i dag! They arrive today!

I am so excited right now because my parents are in the same time zone as me now! They arrived in Amsterdam a few minutes ago and their next flight to Billund is SOON! I cannot wait to see them! I know that they will come to Denmark many times in the future, so I do not have to show them everything this trip! However it is tough to decide what is the most important to plan this time because I want them to see everything I have seen during the last two years.... I must remember that I only have them here for ten days! So I have chosen examples of the most important things that I think represent Denmark--a cathedral, a castle, a coast, a forest and other small things that Denmark is known for.

Day 1- Welcome to Denmark party with family and friends

Day 2- Breakfast with my inlaws and after breakfast, we are driving to Sealland (Island where Copenhagen is). On Saturday- visit Roskilde Cathedral in Roskilde and Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød and go to Tivoli that night.

Day 3- visit Carlsberg Brewery, take mom and dad shopping on Strøget (so they can experience shopping, European style!), visit Little Mermaid and the Royal family's Residence (Amalienborg Slot). Drive home to Herning Sunday evening.

dag 4- Slap Af Dag i Herning
Day 4- Relaxation day in Herning

Day 5- Drive to Ringkøbing and Søndervig (west coast of Jutland) where they can see the North Sea and the WWII bunkers

dag 6- Kører omkring Herning--(Jyndevad Skov, Skarildhus, etc...)
Day 6- a driving tour around the Herning area

dag 7/ Day 7- THANKSGIVING DAY

dag 8/ Day 8-Limfjord og Silkeborg

dag 9- Slappe Af dag i hjemme sammen
Day 9 -Relaxation day at home together

dag 10- Fly til Texas
Day 10-Flight to Texas

And of course.... I will have stories and pictures to share in the next ten days!
