Ting jeg så denne uge.... Things I saw this week

Each weekend, I want to write about things I see around Herning during the week. Most of my blog posts are about something specific, but I take pictures every day as Albert and I walk through town. Things which are not necessarily "a story", but they are things from my life in Denmark I want my family and friends in America to see. So here is my first "things I saw in Herning this week":

"Vimpel" flag er over alt i landet!
"Streamer" flags are everywhere in the country! This flag I saw on Tuesday shows everyone that "the sun does actually shine in Jutland in the fall!"

Albert and I experience autumn on Danmark´s only mountain, Himmelbjergt

We walk by this house everyday, but on Thursday, we got a surprise!

It is very common to see employees and children from a daycare walking outside, REGARDLESS the weather! I love how the children hold on to the pram as they walk.

Husker I min "IS KRISIS"??!!
Men vores pina coladas smagte godt!! :o)

I wanted to make Pina coladas for Mads´ birthday (to go with our Mexican food),but I needed ice! Remember my ICE CRISIS??!! Then I remembered in America, sometimes we bought ice from McDonalds (and I think it cost about a dollar!)...so we walked to McDonalds in Herning and YES, they sell bagged ice..... FOR 10 BUCKS! Mads almost choked when he heard the price! But our pina coladas tasted yummy! :o)
