Post til den tre Amerikanerer ... Mail for the 3 Americans

When you move to a new country, far away from your homeland and the things you are used to, nothing is more exciting than a message from the postman which says, "Kelli Nørgaard, you have a package to pick up from the post office."

I walked to the post office yesterday afternoon and received my package....from Virginia! My girlfriend, Rachel, lives in Virginia and we met last year through my blog. Her boyfriend is Danish and lives in Copenhagen, so we have helped each other learn Danish and learn to live far away from our men! We have not met "face to face" yet, but we have talked to each other on Skype, with our webcams and through email quite often! She is a precious person and I am SO EXCITED to meet her the next time she comes to Denmark! I am so thankful to have Rachel as my friend...

LOL
Yes, the Danish post office opened my package...to check if I need to pay tax! LOL

Gaver til mig! Husker du denne blog historie?
Presents for me! Do you remember this blog post?

and gifts for Emmitt and Albert! She is SO SWEET to remember them!! Emmitt ALWAYS at this type of cat treat in America, but we do not have it in Danmark (and he does NOT like the kind we have here!), so Rachel made 1 cat VERY HAPPY!

That is so sweet of Rachel. What a great friend:) I was going to ask if anyone needs anything when I go to Denmark in December (still not determine yet).

I thought maybe you'd like some crystal light powders:)

I love the expat blogging community. We should definitely meet up next time in Aarhus (probably be a few weeks before Christmas). My Swedish is getting pretty well (I can speak in past AND present now) so I sometimes have mini-conversations with Kjartan - I speak Swedish he responds in Danish. It works quite nicely. How did you learn danish?
